Happy Birthday to CEO Dwight Quinn

On May 5, we celebrated the birthday of our visionary founder and CEO, Dwight Quinn. Since establishing the label in 1971 in East St. Louis, Dwight has spent over half a century preserving and promoting the rich traditions of American roots music. His leadership continues to guide our in-house operations, from artist development to digital distribution through Boogie City Music. We wish our President a fantastic birthday and thank him for his unwavering dedication to independent music.

Celebrating Gene Poo-Poo Man Anderson

Also celebrating his birthday on May 5 is the incredible Gene Poo-Poo Man Anderson. Hailing from St. Louis, Gene has had an illustrious career that includes playing alongside Bootsy Collins as a member of George Clinton's Parliament-Funkadelic and the P-Funk All-Stars. Known for his unique "BluesRappaFunkaSoula" sound and his Grammy-nominated work alongside blues legend Albert King, Gene remains a vital force in the Black music landscape.
